Port Harcourt, Nigeria – Edo Queens FC have been officially crowned champions of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership, marking their second national title after their maiden triumph in the 2023/2024 season.
The “Benin Arsenal” finished top of the Super Six table with 10 points, securing the crown on the final matchday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
The team, coached by Moses Aduku (with strong contributions from technical staff including Enabulele), entered the title-deciding round leading the standings on nine points.
They needed a positive result in their top-of-the-table clash against second-placed Bayelsa Queens (defending champions from the previous season) while monitoring other fixtures.
Edo Queens delivered a composed performance to hold their destiny and emerge as champions.
In the super six standings, Edo queens emerged Champions with 10 points, with runners up and other contenders trailed closely in a tightly contested finale.
