Asaba, Delta – Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has suspended the Member Representing Ndokwa Ethnic Nationality in the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Dr. Charles Olise.

‎Daily South Nigeria can report that the suspension, was contained in a circular issued by Secretary to Delta State Government, Dr. Kingsley Eze Emu.

‎The circular, which was dated Tuesday October 7 and addressed to Dr. Charles Olise, accused the embattled DESOPADEC Commissioner of misconduct at work, “which is capable of polluting the ethical and professional standards underpinning the general affairs of the Commission.”

‎The letter, sighted by our correspondent , reads: “This is to inform you that the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has noted with serious concern, reports of your misconduct at work which is capable of polluting the ethical and professional standards underpinning the general affairs of the Commission.

‎“Accordingly, the Governor has directed that you proceed on immediate suspension for a period of three (3) months with effect from today 7th October, 2025, and without the regular entitlements applicable to your position.

‎“You are to hand-over all of the Commission's properties in your possession to the Managing Director for the duration of the suspension.”
