Asaba, Delta – Operatives of a community vigilante outfit codename, 'Anioma Security Watch' has beaten a suspected mobile phone thief, to death in Delta state.

Spokesperson for the Delta state police command, SP Bright Edafe disclosed this in a post on X, on Tuesday.

Edafe, who did not mentioned the name of suspect (deceased) disclosed that the stolen phone was later recovered from the female child of the alarmist.

"Someone was accused of stealing a phone, a member of anioma security watch mobilized his colleagues to beat him up till he died. They ran away after killing him. Guess what????? The phone was found with the daughter of the woman who raised the alarm.", Edafe posted
