Oborevwori presents staff of office to first Obi of Ukwu-Oba

Ukwu-Oba, Delta - In a vibrant and historic ceremony today, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State officially presented the Staff of Office to Obi Cletus Nkeakam Ochei I, marking his recognition as the first Obi of Ukwu-Oba Kingdom in Aniocha South Local Government Area.
The event was a celebration of culture, unity, and the enduring role of traditional institutions in the state.
Represented by his Deputy, Monday Onyeme, Governor Oborevwori congratulated the newly installed monarch and commended the people of Ukwu-Oba for their maturity and unity during the selection process.
The Governor emphasized the importance of community support for the new monarch, urging residents to rally behind Obi Ochei to ensure peace and progress.
"No community will be left behind in our developmental efforts," Oborevwori stated, highlighting his administration's commitment to empowering traditional rulers and leveraging their influence for governance and security.
Obi Cletus Nkeakam Ochei I received the Staff of Office amid cheers and applause from the gathered crowd, which included local dignitaries, traditional leaders, and community members.
The new monarch pledged to lead with wisdom and compassion, acknowledging the historical significance of his ascension as the first Obi of Ukwu-Oba.
