Emmanuel Ikhenebome appointed media coordinator for AHMWFES

Benin, Edo – In a move poised to amplify the voices of justice and reform, the AHMWFES "Bail is Free" Campaign Group has welcomed Emmanuel Ikhenebome as its new Media Coordinator.

‎The announcement, made by Public Relations Officer John Caesar, underscores the group's commitment to leveraging seasoned expertise in media and communication to drive its mission of advocating for accessible bail processes and equitable legal reforms across Nigeria.

‎Ikhenebome, a 43-year-old trailblazer in Nigerian journalism, brings a wealth of experience to the role. Born on April 23, 1982, he honed his skills at Delta State University, where he earned a degree in Mass Communication.

‎His professional journey has been marked by impactful contributions to regional media landscapes, most notably as Editor and Publisher of Daily South Nigeria (formerly known as BENDEL Mirror), a respected publication dedicated to uncovering stories that shape public discourse in Nigeria's Southern region.

‎The AHMWFES "Bail is Free" Campaign Group, focused on challenging the financial and procedural hurdles that keep low-income defendants incarcerated pre-trial, views Ikhenebome's addition as a strategic boost amid rising calls for criminal justice overhaul in Edo and beyond.

‎His role will involve crafting compelling narratives, coordinating media outreach, and fostering partnerships to highlight real-life stories of those ensnared by bail inequities.

‎Ikhenebome expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating, "It's an honor to join a movement that's not just talking about justice but actively fighting for it. My background in journalism has shown me the power of informed advocacy – together, we'll ensure no one is left behind because of their wallet."

‎As Nigeria grapples with overcrowded prisons and debates on bail reform, the group's latest development signals a renewed vigor in grassroots activism.

‎Stakeholders anticipate Ikhenebome's leadership will elevate the campaign's visibility, drawing on his proven ability to bridge community concerns with national conversations.
