Benin, Edo – Rev. Phil Arojie, Secretary of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Edo State Chapter, has urged the federal and state governments to intensify the fight against kidnapping and other violent crimes amid the rising insecurity across Nigeria.
Rev. Arojie, founder of Dayspring Gospel Center International, made the call during an exclusive interview with DAILY South Nigeria on the sidelines of a one-day leadership conference held to mark his birthday at Jesus House last Friday.
He stressed the need for collaborative efforts among all levels of government, traditional institutions, and citizens to support security agencies in rooting out criminals.
“They need to go to where these kidnappers are in the forests. We have the men to do that,” he said. “The police, civil defence, army, forest guards, and Edo State Security Corps should go after them and not wait for them to strike.”
The PFN leader emphasised that the federal government must show stronger commitment.
“The federal government needs to wield the big stick, deploy the political will, and ensure that these men marauding as terrorists across the nation and in the forests are brought to justice,” he maintained.
