Royal Melodies Announce Performance in Uwa District, Invite Yoruba Residents Across Edo

Benin, Edo – All roads will lead to 10 Agadagudu Street, off 2nd West, off TV Road, in the Uwa District of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Benin City, on Sunday, June 28, 2026, as the Royal Melodies Choir, led by prominent Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Olayiwola Afolabi, stages a special musical performance.
The choir, known for its soul-lifting renditions, will perform with its latest musical instruments in what organisers describe as a more elaborate and spiritually charged edition compared to previous outings at Ozolua, Agbado, Abico, and other districts.
According to the group, the church’s founder and General Superintendent, Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi will be preaching live from Lagos during the service.
As part of the event, the choir has lined up an exciting Bible Quiz competition with attractive prizes for winners. Past editions saw participants cart home items such as bags of garri, deep freezers, solar fans, and Holy Bibles. New converts and regular members are encouraged to participate.
In addition, free eye screening and distribution of eyeglasses will be available at the venue for attendees.
The church’s International Music Director, Pastor Hosanna from the United Kingdom, is expected to be on ground to lead and prepare the choir for the epoch-making event.
Speaking ahead of the event, Olayiwola Afolabi disclosed that the choir has been rehearsing intensively for the occasion.
He emphasised that the event is specifically for “all the yorubas in Edo State.”
As part of the event countdown, Afolabi recently awarded cash prizes and Bibles to winners of a radio programme contest. Five callers who correctly mentioned the names of their presiding Sunday pastors and the sermon topics each received N20,000 and a Bible. Among the winners was physically-challenged, who received a special cash package of N30,000 in recognition of his effort.
Afolabi, who grew up in Lagos, currently resides in Benin City, and is a freeborn of Aramoko community in Ekiti State, expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity to serve through music and community engagement.
The Sunday service promises to be a blend of anointed worship, powerful ministration, community impact, and spiritual reflection.
