‘CAN, PFN leadership sacred duties, not pursued through public campaigns’ – Arojie distance self from campaign posters

Benin, Edo – The Secretary of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Edo State Chapter, Rev. Phil Arojie, has publicly distanced himself from a campaign poster circulating on social media, describing it as unauthorized and not representative of his intentions.

In a disclaimer posted on his verified social media page, Rev. Arojie stated that the campaign material, which portrays him as a preferred candidate for the positions of PFN Edo State Chairman and Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Edo State Chairman, was neither commissioned, endorsed nor approved by him.

He emphasized that the leadership of both PFN and CAN is determined through established constitutional processes and the guidance of the duly constituted leadership of the two Christian bodies, stressing that such offices are sacred responsibilities and not positions to be pursued through public campaigns.

The disclaimer also urged members of the public, church leaders and stakeholders to disregard the campaign material and refrain from associating it with him.

He reaffirmed his commitment to respecting the constitutional procedures guiding the emergence of leaders within PFN and CAN.

The statement comes amid growing discussions within Christian circles in Edo State over the circulation of campaign posters ahead of leadership transitions in the two organizations.

Rev. Arojie concluded by expressing confidence in the integrity of the leadership selection process and called on members to remain focused on unity, order and the collective mission of advancing the Christian faith.
