Delta Assembly candidate Damages Car Tires in Ikorodu Road Pothole Incident

Ikorodu, Lagos – A Delta State House of Assembly candidate for Ughelli North Constituency 2 in the 2027 general elections, Oke Umurhohwo, has reported damaging two tires after his vehicle ran into a deep ditch on the Ikorodu Road in Lagos on Sunday night.
In a post on X, Umurhohwo (@OkeStalyf) said the incident occurred “just like fate would have it,” leaving his vehicle with two damaged tires.
The complaint came hours after he had publicly tagged the Lagos State Government and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, warning that several portions of the Ikorodu Road had become badly deteriorated and risked turning into a “death trap” if urgent repairs were not carried out.
The incident has once again drawn attention to long-standing concerns over the poor condition of major roads in Lagos.
